Subject: TAB: Don't Follow by Alice in Chains from Jar of Flies
Here is my interpretation, using the two versions currently available as
a starting
point I condensed all the TAB to fit onto one page, so as to avoid
having to swap
pages around. While in the process I noticed gross errors in both
versions, which
I listened to my CD to correct (mostly in how the lyrics line up with
the changes).
I also fine tuned the lyrics to be as close to possible in written form.
The TAB is in a format that I formulated over the past couple of days.
I hope
it's easy to work with. Any comments or suggestions should be E-Mailed

janman@gte.net. Here is a quick breakdown of how my particular scheme
works:
Figures that are repeated are TAB'ed only once with a (fig #) over them.
When they come up later the "fig #" are written into the TAB lines.
Chord names are also given under repeated figures, to help, when space
permits.
Repitions are notated under the TAB lines as "x#". ("x2", i.e.)
This means repeat everything between the 2 "|" that the "x#" is on.
Groups of figures are notated as a "pattern" or "pat" similar to "fig"s.
In this file I numbered all the lyrics and placed which lines are sung
in the second (bottom) line under the TAB lines.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official ALICE IN CHAINS tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
