Here is my attempt at the lyrics that I spent days trying to figure out. I
listened to four different versions of the song and this is what I came up
with. If anyone can help me with the lyrics, I'd appreciate it, because
I can't figure out what the hell lyrics are.
-start-
Say you're one man's taste
Want one, fall and break
We see the new folks, in our day
One, bought that from the Pope
Finally sent away
Want it, look at
Free lust, fight our battles to the day
We were full on idle
A lie, let them say "Obey your (???)"
Each in your own way
Free reign, good rest
Break every brunette in the way
We were full on idle
A lie, let them say "Obey your violence"
It's kinda late
Say you're one man's date
Want one, fall and break
We were full on idle
A lie, let them say "Obey your violence"
Look close, hey tied or white
Broke on the last serve
Heed full idle
Okay with me in silence
What I'd like to do
With your violence
And it's ???
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official AMPS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
