BACKSTREET BOYS - "i want it that way2" Tablature
Official BACKSTREET BOYS Tablature & Sheet Music »
Please go easy, this is the first song I've ever tabbed!
This is almost the exact same thing as the CD. I take that back,
it's the exact same thing. I tabbed this myself, and I've played
along with the CD ten zillion times and played this is concert with
my band. So, here it is: I Want It That Way. Enjoy!
Tabbed by: Cris (lemon_angel@alloymail.com)

E-2---------2-------------------------------------|
You just keep playing this through the first part, but when you get
to "I want it that way" in the verses, you play E A
VERSE 1
You are, my fire
The one, desire
Believe, when I say
A E
I want it that way
But we, are two worlds
Apart, can't reach to
Your heart, when you say
A E
I want it that way
*now here it changes to chords for the chorus*
D E F#
Tell me why, Ain't nothing but a heartache
D E F#
Tell me why, ain't nothing but a mistake
F#
Tell me why, I never wanna hear you say
A E
I want it that way
Right here, it goes back to the fingerplay above for the verse
Am I, you're fire
Your one, desire
Yes I know, it's too late
E A
But I want it that way
CHORUS
I have to finish the bridge and the key change, maybe I'll get my
buddy to do it. But that's basically it, it's a pretty easy song.
If you do this with a band or something, after you do the
fingerplaying for the first verse, after it goes to "But we are two
worlds apart," I would suggest getting another guitar to do the
chorus along with it. It sounds cool when you do it like that,
so try it. You'll see what I mean....
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official BACKSTREET BOYS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
