"Movin On"
by Mick Ralphs
from the album Bad Company
This is one of my favorite songs, so I decided to share it. If you have
any corrections, please let me know. Have fun!
Intro

G--7-------5-------5--5----5---5----
D--9-------7-------5--5h7--7---5----
A-----------------------------------
E-----------------------------------
Play twice, with slight variation.
Another idea for those first two chords is below. I haven¹t decided
which way I prefer. They¹re pretty similar.

G--3-------2-------5--5----5---5----
D----------3-------5--5h7--7---5----
A-----------------------------------
E-----------------------------------
Ok, on to the verse. I don¹t know all the chord names, so I¹ll do my
best to give you the picking pattern. It¹s basically G,C
[G]I get up in the morning and it¹s just another day

E-------------------------------------------------------
Pack up my belongings, [C]got to get away
E------------------------------------------------
B-12---12-13--x-12-x-13----5---5-6--x-5-x-6------
G-12---12-12--x-12-x-12----5---5-5--x-5-x-5------
D-12---12-14--x-12-x-14----5---5-7--x-5-x-7------
A------------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------
Play this again until you reach the C chord, then use this ending to
bring you into the chorus

G--5---5--5-x-5-x-5---5---
D--5---5--7-x-7-x-7---5---
A-------------------------
E-------------------------
Ok, so I didn¹t do such a great job of giving the rhythm, but the chords
are there. Listen to the record to get the feel.
There is a little riff at the end of the chorus that takes you into the
second verse. Here is how I fake it:
E-------------------------
B-------------------------
G--/9---9-7-5-7-5---------
D--/9---9-7-5-7-5---------
A-------------------------
E-------------------------
I also worked out a little bit of the solo. All in C minor pentatonic, I
believe.
E--------------------------8----8----11b13-------
B--8h11p8--11b13---11-8-11---11------------------
G------------------------------------------------
D------------------------------------------------

Lyrics
Verse 1
Well I get up in the morning and it¹s just another day
Pack up my belongings, I¹ve got to get away
Jump into a taxi and the time is gettin tight
Gotta keep it movin, I gotta show tonight, well I¹m
(Chorus)
Movin on,
Movin on from town to town
Well I¹m movin on baby, can¹t seem to stop now
Verse 2
Well I¹m [taking two more tickets babe]?
I haven¹t got a hope
Headin for the Golden Gate, feelin pretty low
Fifteen minutes later, I¹m sittin on a plane
Fastening my safety belt, well I¹m movin on again
Repeat Chorus
That¹s all I have right now. If you have anything better or the
complete solo please send it to me, Thanks!

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official BAD COMPANY tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
