BADLY DRAWN BOY - "Spitting In The Wind" Tablature
Official BADLY DRAWN BOY Tablature & Sheet Music »
I have tried to indicate a vague strumming pattern for
the intro, but I'd advise you to listen to the song to pick it up
perfectly.
I think this is pretty much correct, feel free to add any corrections.
I saw the previous tab and thought it could do with some improvement.

VERSE
C Am
I've been spitting in the wind
G
I chanced a foolish grin
F
And dribbled on my chin
C Am
Now the ground shifts beneath my feet
G
The faces that I greet
F..
Never know my name
CHORUS
..F C
Just give me something
Am
I'll take nothing
G
Just give me something
F
I'll take nothing
Now the drout is crippled by the rain
It hammers on my pane
We lose ourselves again
But all we need is to find a place to look
Our worm is on its hook
A love which dangles free
Let's watch it swim
Against the water's flow
In doubt their courage grows
With no guarentee
And so it goes
A moral to the tale
As tortoise catches snail
A stong heart will prevail
It keeps on pumping
It still needs something
Just give it something
I'll take nothing
Just give me something
To keep it pumping
Just give me something
I'll take nothing

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official BADLY DRAWN BOY tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
