"ALL THAT I NEED" - Blind Melon
From the album 'Nico'
this is a great song, and it's really pretty simple. most of
the chords used are just root position chords shifted up a few frets.
I've written them all out, but you'll have to listen to the album to
get a feel for the rhythm - it should be pretty easy to pick up.

LYRICS
(play riff #1)
all that i need is the air that i breathe
and all that i need are things i don't need
and all that really matters is what matters to me...
(#2) and who of you are like me? (#2)
(#1)
if i was to smile and i held out my hand, aw
and up until now you do not understand
because you if i'm gonna benefit i'll do everything that i can
(#2) and who of you are like me? (#2)
(play riff #3 4 times)
(#4)
it'll make you feel good, over my shoulder
it gets me down and got me ties up
till i get rolled up and FEEL ME... inside of you
like you want to do
(#5)
but is it just the pains in your head
that are thrillin' me
another life is falling down to it's knees
but i'll never smile the way
that i did that day (throw in a D chord here)
everything'll be ok...

Subject: Blind Melon: All That I need: tab
Artist: Blind Melon
Song Title: All That I Need
Album: Nico
I think this is Blind Melons best song ever, so I decided to tab it:
Intro/the little riff between the verses:
e:-2--2-2--7-7--5--3-3--5-5-5--3-3-3-3-3--2---2---]
b:-3--3-3--9-9--7--3-3--5-5-5--3-3-3-3-3--3---3---]
g:-2--2-2--7-7--6--4-4--6-6-6--4-4-4-4-4--2---2---]
d:-----------------5-5--7-7-7--5-5-5-5-5----------]
a:------------------------------------------------]
e:------------------------------------------------]
Verse:
D Bm A
all that I need is the air that I breathe...
(play this a couple of times and then you play the intro riff 2x)
after you have played that 2x you play this:
E C D C D
E C D
It 'll make you feel good, over my shoulder (?)
that's it, I think it's right

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official BLIND MELON tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
