B-12-10-12-10--12-13---13-12-10--------12-10-12-10-11-11b12-9--12-
G------------------------------12-11-9----------------------------
Play the main rhythm during the verse and chorus:
How come,
girl was there when I needed one
How come,
girl wasn't there when the song is done
Some say,
Open your eyes to a brighter light
O.K.,
Opened my arms, and they were right
Chorus:
She was my soul one
She felt like she was the only one
She was the sun and the sky blue eyes
She was my soul one
Inside, pain in my heart often made her cry
Outside, I cursed the birds in the sugar sky
How long, take to realize that she's the one
How long, till I find my lost and lonely soul one
Chorus
Bridge (where's that confounded bridge?): for the guitar rhythm, you just
play a C chord to a G to a D
chord
C G D C G
should have never taken the time
D C G
cause I found myself living a lonely lie
D C G
said you left to find yourself
D(or Em?)
but I never got the chance to say goodbye
(on "goodbye", you start playing the main rhythm again)
Back to main rhythm (oh yes, oh my)
She was my soul one
I thought she was the only one
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official BLIND MELON tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
