album: Tremolo
transcribed by Kevin Cumming
Em D C G D Em
You always say, that I get it too late
D C G D Em
Or not at all so then it shouldn t seem so strange
D C G D Em
That I would sing you a love song now
D C G D
Because I feel like I m going to fall
G D Em C
Chorus: You closed your eyes, you made a wish
G D Em C
You laughed and looked at me and said, what are you still doing
here
G D Em C G D Em C
That was before I learned how, to disappear
(chord progressions are the same for the rest of the verses and chorus')
It was a strange day, we went down to the sea
To watch the waves, and of course it had to rain
Still you danced in and out along the shore
And in your hand you held a sand dollar
Chorus: You closed your eyes, you made a wish
You laughed and looked at me and said, what are you still doing
here
That was before I learned how, to disappear
There is a place, in my heart
That is yours and I ll always respect
Because sometimes I lose sight of the miracle
Find myself going round and round in circles
Chorus: You closed your eyes, you made a wish
You laughed and looked at me and said, what are you still doing
here
That was before I learned how, to disappear

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official BLUE RODEO tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
