Joker^Òs Wild
Blue Rodeo
album: Outskirts
transcribed by Kevin Cumming
Em
You^Òre feeling over the hill, chasing powder and pills
Am Em
Still you don^Òt mind the taste, of the slow burning waste
B Am Em
Until you feel like trash, you might as well have a blast
B Am Em
Until you feel that crash, you might as well have a blast
Em
Deep down in your heart, you know you can^Òt hide
Am Em
Still you know what you^Òre running from, better than I
B Am Em
And when they ask you why, you say the joker^Òs wild
B Am
And when they ask why
Em G
You say the joker is wild
Am C
You say the joker is wild
Em G
You say the joker is wild
Am C G
You say the joker is wild
(the rest of the song follows the same chord progression)
When your skin starts to crawl, and your fingers twitch
And your veins are screaming, for some kind of fix
Well they ask you why, you say the joker^Òs wild
If there was only a way, to make you understand
That the game you^Òre playing, has gotten out of hand
And when they ask you why, you say the joker^Òs wild
And when they ask you why
You say the joker is wild
You say the joker is wild
You say the joker is wild
You say the joker is wild
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official BLUE RODEO tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
