BLUE RODEO - "try" Tablature
Official BLUE RODEO Tablature & Sheet Music »
From: drake@sgl.ists.ca (Drake Hirasawa)
Subject: Blue Rodeo - Try.crd Correction
The file try.crd has a couple of versions of Try, and the first one
(at the top of the file) is pretty close. A couple of changes
though:
First, in the verse the chord pattern is shown as
A - E - D - A, A - E - D - A
and should be
A - E - D - A, A - C#m - D - A.
Also the chorus is shown as
A - E - D
and somebody corrected it to
A - E - F#m
but it is really
A - C#m - F#m.

Well a buddy and I have spent the better part of the day on our internal
email sending this song back and forth, adding parts here and there,
trying to finally figure this song out - sans guitar, of course -
which makes it all a little difficult.
Anyway, here's what we've come up with so far. Seems pretty much right
to my memory, what do you all think?

Well ok, we haven't figured the chorus out yet, anybody out there able
to fill in the blanks here and correct the mistakes? Sure would be
appreciated.
Thanks
Shaun

In the posted version of ³TRY² that I have (from the archive) the sequence
of chords in the chorus given is:
A - E - D etc
The correct sequence is:
A - E -F#m etc.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official BLUE RODEO tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
