Distant Voices

Transcribed by Joe Hale
I worked on this song some more, and have come up with a
more accurate transcription. I decided to show how each
part is played rather than just showing the chords.
Although I showed what notes to play off each chord, they
may be a little different from the record; I just play the
notes which I think sound best. At any rate, I have
included every part of the song(rhythm and lead), and it is
very accurate.

Verse 2:
Play A3 and B2 two times.
Pre-chorus:

Second Chorus:
(both guitars turn off tremolo)

g|-1~------3---------3-3------1------4------3-------4-----|

Bridge:
(both guitars w/heavy distortion)

a|--4-2-4-4-2-4-2-2--5-5-5----|
E|--2-0-2-2-0-2-0-0--3-3-3-0--|
After the first bridge, both guitars play something
similar to the intro. It goes like this:
e|-(0)-------------------(0)-------------------------------|
b|-(0)-------------------(0)-------------------------------|
g|--7--------/11---------\7--------/11---------------------|
d|----(x14)-------(x14)-----(x14)--------------------------|
a|--5---------/9---------\5---------/9---------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------|
The notes in parenthesis indicate notes
which Guitar 2 randomly plays.
Verse 3:
(both guitars w/tremolo and slight distortion)
Play A3 and B2 two times.
Second Pre-Chorus:
Guitar 1 plays D1 two times again, while Guitar 2 does
a slight variation of D2 that goes like this:
e|--5--------3----------2----------|
b|--5---5----3-3--------2----------|
g|--6-6---6--4---4-4-4--3----------|
d|--7-----7--5-----5----4-(4)------|
a|--7--------5----------4---(4)----|
E|--5--------3----------2-----(2)--|
The notes in parenthesis are played on the first time only.
Third Chorus:
Guitar 1 and 2 both play C3 and C4 two times again,
with heavy distortion(left on for rest of song) and
no tremolo(left off for rest of song).
F1:Guitar 1
e|--------------------------------------------|
b|--------------------------------------------|
g|--11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11/-12-12-12-12\--|
d|--11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11/-12-12-12-12\--|
a|---9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9/-10-10-10-10\--|
E|--------------------------------------------|
F2:Guitar 2
*
e|--------------------------------------------|
b|--------------------------------------------|
g|--11-11-x-x-11-11-x-11-11-11/-12-12-12-12\--|
d|--11-11-x-x-11-11-x-11-11-11/-12-12-12-12\--|
a|---9--9-x-x--9--9-x--9--9--9/-10-10-10-10\--|
E|--------------------------------------------|
Play that two times, then play C3(both guitars)
one time. After that, Guitar 1 plays F2 four
times while Guitar 2 does this:
*
e|--------------------------------------------------------|
b|----11-----------12-12--------11-11-------(12)12-12-----|
g|/11~---11~-11/12-12-12-12\11~-------11~-11/12-12-12-----|
d|--------------------------------------------------------|
a|--------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------|
*song ends on this note/chord (G)
BTW, Guitar 1 might be clean when Guitar 2 is slightly
distorted, but I prefer them both distorted.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official BUSH tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
