Performed by Camel on their first album, "Camel", from 1973
I've been a Camel fan for a long time. Lots of Camel's music from "The Good
Years" (ie 1973-1977, but please don't flame me about it) are untranscribable
due to my playing limitations and patience, but this piece is both beautiful
and easy to play. The tabbing and notes here should help you playing it,
hopefully with some friends playing with you, or, on the other hand, it could
be helpful if you've got a synth guitar with a sequencer or just a 4/8 track
tape...
I've made a great mess when I tried putting all those tabs and chords, so
I have divided the song into sections. The complete chord sequence, with notes
about the relevant sections, is written at the end. The chord sequence should
help you play it throughout, and the messy part should help you play specific
"solos". As usual, I'm transcribing organ solos into guitar tabs. I know it's
ridiculous but maybe somebody can do something with it :-). I didn't bother
tabbing all those Bass lines because Ferguson wasn't as consistent as he
usually is on this song.... :-) But it is easy to find the bass line as long
as you know the chords, in this song anyway.
I wish there would be more progressive rock stuff over the guitar tablature
groups! I'll be doing my best (Slow Yourself Down is coming up next!)

Generally the chord sequence goes this way:

Organ plays the chords (some times with arpeggio) twice. On the first cycle,
the first two Dm are played as a "bang" Dm, then a pause, till everybody joins
in on the C. The second cycle just flows. On the third cycle yet another

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official CAMEL tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
