B F# E F#
Things never really got better
G#m F# E F#
Or maybe I wasn't paying attention
B F# E F#
I've still got a year or two left on the car
G#m F# E F#
And my knees feel a year or two older than they really are.
B F# E F# G#m F# E F#
**Continues like that
You'll have to excuse my expression
But it's only the alcohol
And she calls it addiction; I just call it a friend
But enough about me, damn it's so good to see you again.
Well I never meant to get bitter
So neurotic or unpatriotic
But I guess that's what happens when the days blend together
No rain but you can't help complain about the weather
G#m F# E
Cause there's nothing else to say
E
Well I'm fading away
C#m
Ask me how I am today
**back to verse
Now I'll say well thank you for asking
But now that you mention it
I am sick and damn tired of apologizing
For so many things that have never been my fault
E
And I don't care if you care
C#m
And I don't care if it rhymes
E
Well I've told you a thousand times
F#
You pay for your own fuckin' crimes
B F# E F# G#m F# E F#
Could you tell when you've finally folded
That minute your eyes rusted shut
She says, don't let it get to you
There's really nothing you can do really
But she's just talking through me
Cause there's nothing she can say
That'll take it away
Ask me how I am today
Now I'll say well thank you for asking
But now that you mention it
I am sick and damn tired of apologizing
There's so many things that have never been my fault
And I don't care if you care
And I don't care if it rhymes
But I've told you a thousand times
You pay for your own fuckin' crimes
G#m F# B C# C#M7 D#m7 E F# x2
But thank you for asking
But now that you mention it
I'm so tired of drinking myself to sleep
Cause I'll never really be, where it is I want to be
And I don't care if you care
And I don't care if it rhymes
But I've told you a thousand times,
You pay for your own fuckin' crimes
Now I'll thank you for asking
But now that you mention it
I'm sick and damn tired of apologizing
For all of these things that have never been my fault
And I don't care if you care
No cause I don't have the time
The snow's on its way
But I can see you again my friend
**ends on F#....what a winner ending

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official CANDID DAYDREAM tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
