CARCASS - "Embodiment" Tablature

"Embodiment"
by Carcass
from "HeartWork"
I thought to myself - where is the reaction, Carcass' New album,
HeartWork deserves. People say Death Metal is dead - I say hell!
And carcass prove I'm right. It's a master album, with Riffs not
from this world, Smart melodic solos and an attacking original
sound and rythem. Each song there is a piece - HeartWork is
definantly a real progression from the last album - although some
may say it's a break down.
It's a "*****+" RiffTastik classic.
I have worked a lot of time on this tab for Embodiment, the
5th fantastic track of HeartWork. I tabed only the riffs
while if anyone would want the solos - Post me.
Here goes:
Tune your guitar 2.5 steps down (i.e. Low E -- lower B etc.).
(Thanks Brian)
Make sure the Distortion is on full. You're gonna need it.

Lyrics:
*******
Verse 1:
I bow down (before) your precious icon, Deity of self suppression.
This effigy of flesh. corporeal christi. Nailed!!!!!!!!!!
In submission to this falst idol. Seeking deliverance!!!!!!!
From this spiritual hierarchy. Downward spiralling. a
Corrupt throne.
Of repression and guilt.
Our will be done.
Thy kingdom burns.
Verse 2:
On my knees, before this tormented flesh, in irreverence.
In communion with this parasitic host of virtuous divinity.
This immperious creed bears testament to the failures of our
Mortality.
Rightous durance is our cross we bear in stations.
In stations of the lost.
Our will be done.
Thy kingdom burn. Thy kingdom burn.
Our will be done.
From your knees arise.
By your own hand, your got (that) you scribe.
The earth shall inherit the meek.
Your god is dead.
(Lead - Michael Abbot)
Verse 3:
Bound down. In god we're trussed. foul stature.
Icons embodied in flesh. We nail.
In servitude to deities fashioned in our self image.
Shadows of eternal strife cast by those who serve.
Serve a crown of pawns.
(Lead - William Steer).
Lyrics by Jeff Walker.
Music by Michael Abbot and William Steer.

I am happy to say that a lot of people posted me after
the embodiment TAB. Those people are true Carcass fans
and the solos are mainly for them.
(That's for you Evan, PRIMOZ and the rest).
I hadn't had them on files and I didn't quite found
them all before - so, see what trouble I went through.
First Solo by Michael Abbot.
Use Wah-Wah when needed.
Use Digital delay effect on Medium.
This is just one of the Solos on heartwork where Michael
Use the wah-wah in an elastrious dimension.

I'm not sure about that last part. Bill is just hard to figure out.
Anyway - a tip: On the Steer Solo - use a lot of vibrato banding -
listen to the solo a lot to get the feeling.
Well It's 4 in the morning. I better get some sleep.
See ya all Death fans.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official CARCASS tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
