| Song: Cross Bones Style |
| Album: Moon Pix |
| Artist: Cat Power |
|------------------------------|
Standard Tuning
This tab should be fairly accurate, and the song
is quite easy to duplicate by just listening to the
record. Just improvise using the sections below.
The song sounds great on a nylon string guitar, or
electric guitar with some kind of "dubbed" sound. If
playing on a steel string guitar, I like tuning it
down 0.5 step.
Main Verse *
e||--------------(0)------||
B||-----0---0---0---0-----||
G||---4---4---4---4-------||
D||--2-2-2-2--------------||
A||----------3-3-3-3------||
E||-----------------------||
* the 0 is played instead of the 4 sometimes. First
time just befor vocals enters.

G|----4---4---4---4---4---4---4---4-------|

E|----------------------------------------|
*
*1 sometimes during the vocal "chorus" (... in a cross
bones style... ), also as bridge before "somekind-
of-solo".
*2 sometimes during end of singing.
* this 3 becomes a 4 sometimes.
"somekind-of-solo"

B and G strings played a bit harder and agressive.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official CAT POWER tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
