Unlike most Cathedral songs, this one is played using a normally tuned
guitar (E A D G B E).

The second verse is very much like the first one, with some minor
changes in the order of the riffs, and not the actual notes.
The following riff: (which goes under the little organ lead)
(semi palm mute)
(the stars indicates rhythm)

later, a second guitar joins with the same riff, only in 8th notes,
instead of 16th.
The solo:
Which is not actually a solo but rather a collection of "bluesy" feels.

all sorts of weird palm and string mutes
the riff under the solo:
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
--2-----4------>-----------------
--2-----4------>-silence guitar--
--0-----2------>-----------------
second set of martian bossa nova feels:

--------------7-----------------4-----7----7-p-4-----4----6---------

-------------------8-p-6-h-8----------------------6--4---6--4p6---4-----
------------------------------9-----4----------6------------------------

The second riff under the solos:
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
--4-----6------>-----------------
--4-----6------>-silence guitar--
--2-----4------>-----------------
BTW: The solos are not very precise, but I think jennings improvises them
anyway so why not improvise yourself?
last riff:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--4---4---4---4---4---4---4---4-------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2----6---------------5----------------
--0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0-------------------------------------
The cosmic funeral ends with a double lead guitar jam on E...
Enjoy.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official CATHEDRAL tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
