Could someone tell me what the intro line of "Police on My Back" off of
"Sandanista!" is? As near as I can tell, it's
E------------------------------------------------------------------------
B--3---3---3---3---3---3-------------------------------------------------
G----2---2---2---2---2---2-----------------------------------------------
D------------------------------------------------------------------------
A------------------------------------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------------------
but that doesn't sound right to me. Not siren-like enough. Am I just using
the wrong kind of distortion, or am I hitting the wrong notes? And, because
I started this mess, I'll finish it by adding the chords...
D
Well, I'm running...
G
D
G
D
G
D
G
A
I've been running...
G
A
G
D G
D G
(back to verse with other words)
Words are probably wrong, so if someone could post those, that would also be
neat:). And the bassline would be awesome, since Paul Simonon is blasting
away. And what about "White Riot" (which is just A, D, and E, but the bassline
is wicked awesome) ?
Let's also see if someone hasn't figured out Richard Lloyd's brilliant solos
in Matthew Sweet's "Divine Intervention" (I can give someone the rhythm part
if they really want it), "I've Been Waiting" (can someone post the whole
song?), and "Evangeline," which is fairly easy except for that damn brilliant
solo.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official CLASH tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
