"I wish I was a girl"
Counting Crows
DarkKarma17@aol.com
Along with "All of my friends" this is the coolest song on the album
you need two guitars, or one acoustic and you can forget the riff at the bridge and play rhythm (I think it sounds best on acoustic)
Follow up to "goodnight elizibeth" (Recovering the satellites)
Esus4: 022200
Intro/verse (the E-riff)
E Esus4 E Esus4 E
this riff until...
"You're surprised, and then you wake."
Prechorus

For all the things you're losing.
E Esus4 E
You might as well resign yourself to try and make a change.
G#m A
And I'm going down to Hollywood.
B
They're gonna make a movie from the things
That they find crawling round my brain.

"Hey, Elizabeth, you know I'm doing all right
A B

How could anyone else have changed,
F#m
But these are wrong conclusions
A
That leave you alone.
E A
How could everyone rearrange?
E A
How could everyone else have changed?
F#m A
What I see I believe.
E

Well I can't sleep at night.
F#m A B
Well I can't sleep at night.

Well I can't sleep at night.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official COUNTING CROWS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
