Lyrics:
You though the leading winter would bring you down forever
But you rode upon a steamer to violence of the sun
And the colours of the sea blind your eyes with trembling mermaids
And you touch the distant beaches with tales of brave Ulysses
How his naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing
While the sparkling waves are calling you to kiss the white laced lips
Middle part:
Solo on these chords with lots of distortion and wahwah
A D C A D C
Beat * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
And you see a girls brown body dancing through the turqouise
And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea
And when your fingers find her she drowns you in her body
Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind
**Middle part again**
The tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter
Her name is Aphrodite and she rides a crimson shell
And you know you cannot leave her for you touched the distant sands
With tales of brave Ulysses how his naked ears were tortured
By the sirens sweetly singing
**Solo on verse chords**
The tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter
**More solo on verse**
And that would be it...

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official CREAM tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
