NOTES:
- Rhythm guitar repeats the main riff throughout
the entire song and plays Fill #1 after the
last line of the chorus.
- Lead guitar plays the licks and the solo, and
plays Fill #2 after the last line of the chorus.
- During chorus, play the main riff starting from
the second line of tab.
- There are no guitars during the verses (only drums).
- I haven't transcribed the solo here.. it's tough!
Here's the entire song setup, with the lyrics:
Intro = Main Riff x1
Good golly miss molly (lick #1)
Sure like a ball (lick #2)
Good golly miss molly (lick #1)
Sure like to ball (lick #2)
When you're rockin' and a-rollin' (lick #1)
Can't hear your mama call (fill #1)
Verse:
From the early early morning
To the early early night
You can see miss molly rockin'
At the house of blue light
Chorus:
Good golly miss molly (lick #1)
Sure like to ball (lick #2)
When you're rockin' and a-rollin' (lick #1)
Can't hear your mama call (fill #1)
Verse:
Her mom and poppa told me
"Son, you better watch your step"
If I knew my mom and pop
I'll have to watch my poppa's step
Chorus:
Good golly miss molly (lick #1)
Sure like to ball (lick #2)
When you're rockin' and a-rollin' (lick #1)
Can't hear your mama call (fill #1 into solo)
Verse:
I'm goin' to the corner
Gonna buy a diamond ring
Would you pardon me again son
And a dang-a-lang-a-ling
Chorus:
Good golly miss molly (lick #1)
Sure like to ball (lick #2)
When you're rockin' and a-rollin' (lick #1)
Can't hear your mama call (fill #1 into solo)
Chorus:
Good golly miss molly (lick #1)
Sure like to ball (lick #2)
When you're rockin' and a-rollin' (lick #1)
Can't hear your mama call (fill #1, a bit faster)

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
