Greetings, children of the 80's! I'm currently celebrating my recent
purchase of Rhino records' fantastic "Just Can't Get Enough: New Wave Hits
Of The 80's" by sitting down and transcribing a few of the catchier pieces
of disposable pop from my misspent youth. Here's installment two...
KARMA CHAMELEON by Culture Club
Composed by George O'Dowd, John Moss, Roy Hay, Mickey Craig & Phil Pickett
Transcribed by Brian Davies and Sara Asher

Desert [A] loving in your [E] eyes all the [A] way.

Red gold and [D] green, red gold and [A] green. [E]
Don't [A] hear your wicked [E] words every [A] day
And you [A] used to be so [E] sweet, I heard you [A] say
That my [D] love was an ad[E]diction.
When we [D] cling our love is [E] strong.
When you [D] go you're gone for[E]ever.
You string a[D]long, you string a[F#m]long. [E]

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official CULTURE CLUB tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
