DAVE MATTHEWS BAND - "all along the watchtower" Tablature
Official DAVE MATTHEWS BAND Tablature & Sheet Music »
Song: All Along The Watchtower
Band: Dave Matthews Band
Album: Reccently, Live At Red Rocks, Listener Supported, various
Origanal Version: Bob Dylan
Other Versions: Jimi Hendrix, Greatful Dead, U2, Indigo Girls
Notes: This transcript is the skeleton of the song. Every recording
of it is different because DMB always improvs during shows. If you
play this for most the parts the only real thing you need to worry
about is the solo section. There's always something different there.
Violin, sax, or sometimes Tim Reynolds joins and throws in a guitar
solo. You could do tons of stuff with that, just make something up
that sounds cool and impress your friends. The final verse section
is normally played loudly with the verse, then on it's own without
the band, and quietly during the solo section and final verse, then
loudly again for the outro.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official DAVE MATTHEWS BAND tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
