Lyrics:
(riff 1)
He wakes up in the morning
Does his teeth, bite to eat and he's rolling.
He never changes a thing
The week ends, the week begins.
(riff 1)
She thinks,
We look at each other
Wondering what the other is thinking
But we never say a thing
And these crimes between us grow deeper.
(Violin and sax solo play riff 1)
[chorus]
(riff 1)
Take these chances
Place them in a box until a
(riff 2)
quieter time
Lights down you up and die
(riff 1)
Goes to visit his mommy
She feeds him well, has concerns he forgets them
And remembers being small
Playing under the table and dreaming
[chorus]
(Violin and sax solo play riff 1)
(riff 1)
Driving in this highway
All these cars end up on the sidwalk
People in every direction
No words exchanged, no time to exchange them
(riff 2 repeated 4x)
When all the little ants are marching
Red and black antennas waving
They all do it the same
They all do it the same way
(riff 1)
Candyman tempting the thoughts of a
Sweet tooth, torturing the weight loss
Program cutting the corners of a loose end, loose end, cut cut
On the fence, not to offend cut cut, cut cut
[chorus]
[then the violin and sax have solos again. During the first part,]
[play riff 1 but play nothing during the middle part then play riff 1]
[again for the last part of the song]
Lights down you up and die
Thats it, listen to the song to get the rythm. Comments or suggestions?

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official DAVE MATTHEWS BAND tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
