Subject: TAB: Rakim by Dead Can Dance
TAB:Rakim by Dead Can Dance
From CD-Movie: Toward The Within(1994)
Trans/noted: Andretti Benavides
ISSUE# 4 from GTML.
A very difficul song to transcribe and play it correctly. This is 90 % O.k.
and i think i will make it.
First: Tunning :You may say WHAT¡¡¡ four strings?. Yes Four strings, this is
for mandolin (i think it is played with that) but if you have a guitar just
put a capo on 5th fret and play on the thinner strings. Notated as fret
5(capo)=0.For non capo just add 5 to every note.
Second: Trills: Move quikcly, very quickly up and down the pick under notes
that says Trill.
Third: The chords are arranged for main deep music layer, an here comes the
scales: For DM part is a A minor.-a,b,c,d,e,f,g,a. For D part is a
G major.-g,a,b,c,d,e,f#,g. Noy you can figure out arrangements and voicing.
Thats all,for corrections, comments, contributions or anything else:

Lyrics:
1. Rakim
Favored son
Turn in the garden
Shades of one
Sins forgotten
Favored signs to find hope
In the rounds of life
Favored rhymes to find hope
In the sands of life
Favored son
Fence in your heart
Saviored son
Sins forgotten

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official DEAD CAN DANCE tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
