[INTRO]

[VERSE]
E G D A
The first thing I do, when I turn myself to bed,
E G
Is pray that I will wake up
D A
Then sleep enter my head.
E G D A
Now I'm not afraid of dying, I'm proud of all we've done,
E G
But I think I'd go to heaven
D A
And I'd be the only one.
E G D A x 2
[VERSE] play same pattern as above
A simple man in a complex world,
That what I've heard them say.
But I hear little voices and they say we're okay.
Any you'll say I'm a dreamer, we'll never be number one,
But I just can't help thinking that the best songs go unsung.
[CHORUS]
E B A B A Em7 E
And I wouldn't change a thing if my mother said to,
So why should I change a thing because D.J. says?
I thought that you'd agree, after all we've been through.
No I wouldn't change a thing if a Leper said to.
[SOLO]
E G D A x 4
[BRIDGE]
D A E D A E
No I..... wouldn't change a thing,
D A E
'cause I don't take chances
D A E
With something that's this close to me.
[VERSE] continue playing E G D A pattern
She said, What are you doing to me?
You don't spend your time like you used to do.
I said, I don't need this kind of junk,
You're talking too much to me, and I don't believe in you.
She said, I want to take you out and break your heart, and bust
you down and drag you out, I don't care for one thing about you.
As she turned around she kissed me good-bye.
I said, I think I'll be all right without you.
[OUTRO CHORUS]
E B A B A Em7 E
And I wouldn't change a thing if my mother said to,
So why should I change a thing because D.J. says?
I thought that you'd agree, after all we've been through.
No I wouldn't change a thing if a Leper said to.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official DEEP BLUE SOMETHING tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
