Am C F E7 Am C F
When the night winds softly blow through my open window
E7 Am C F F E7 E7
then I start to remember the girl that brought me joy
Am C F E7 Am C F
Now the night winds softly blow sadness to tomorrow
E7 Am C
bringing tears to eyes so tired
F F E7 E7
Eyes I thought could cry no more
Chorus:
A Cm# Bm7 Bm7 D
If the day would only come then you might just appear
Cm# Bm Bm A
even though you'd soon be gone when I reached out my hand
A A E Bm7 Bm7
If I could see you (ooohh ooooh)
Bm7 A E Bm7
If only I could see you ooooh ooooh
Bm7 A D Cm# Bm
To see if you are laughing or crying
A D Bm Bm A
When the night winds softly blow
In my dark and whispering room
Memories still bring me a numbness to my feelings
Take my hand and brush my brow
In the warm and fevered dark
Heart is madly beating
My crazy thoughts are burning
When the night winds softly blow
If the day would only come
Then you might just appear even though you'd soon be gone
When I reached out my hand
If I could see you
If only I could see you
To see if you are laughing or crying
When the night winds softly blow
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official DEEP PURPLE tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
