LAZY - INTRO (tablature)
========================
From: peten@tplrd.tpl.oz.au (Peter Nosworthy)
I used to have the tab for this but I've lost it.
The following is the way I play it which may not
match the record but I think most of it is pretty
close. This is just the main guitar solo at the
beginning. Someone else has posted the chords.
Note that this version is a tone higher than the record.
Key:
Bend up two semi-tones.
3==5 Slide from 3 to 5.
==9 Slide up to 9 from nowhere in particular.
3_5 Hammer on 3 to 5.
5_3 Pull off 5 to 3.
tr. Trill (Same as 6_7_6_7_6_7 played rapidly)
6~7
vib. Vibrato.
"Bar" lines divide the solo into riffs rather than bars.

LAZY - VERSES (chords)
======================
From: alwalsh@unix1.tcd.ie (Andreas Walsh)
Well this is just the singing part:
Gm7 C/G
You're lazy
Gm7
Just stay in bed
C
You're lazy
Gm7
Just stay in bed
Bb
You don't want no money
F Gm7 D7#9 (ie Purple Haze E down 2 frets)
You don't want no bread
Repeat chords for
If you're drowning you don't clutch no straw
If you're drowning you don't clutch no straw
You don't want to live you don't want to cry no more
(Harmonica solo)
Well my trying ain't done no good
I said my trying ain't done no good
You don't make no effort no not like you should
Lazy you just stay in bed
Lazy you just stay in bed
You don't want no money
You don't want no bread
(Guitar solo)
(blues outro w/harmonica)
This is the chord progression from Lazy:
Gm7 | C/G | Gm7 | Gm7
C | C | Gm7 | Gm7
Bb | F | Gm7 | D7#9 (the funky E from Purple Haze down 2 frets)
I think these could do with some explanation:
EADGBE
Gm7: 353333 (I can't remember the simpler one!)
C/G: 335553 or 332010
C: 332010 or -32010 (whatever C you prefer!!)
Bb: 115551 or --5551
F: 133211 or --3211
D7#9: -5456- (or if you're beginning : D7: -00212

LAZY - OUTRO (tablature)

From: URBAN JOSEPH DE SOUZA
Subject: LAZY outro..
Thought I'd contribute some...
Here's what I think is the outro on the song LAZY by DeepPurple.
THe actual song has been tabbed and archived at Nevada or Uwp!
Can somebody put the actual chords on this piece (in A major)? The song
itself is a minor blues before the outro, ie (Am / D / Am / C / G / Am /E7#9).

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official DEEP PURPLE tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
