dEUS: HOTELLOUNGE
tab by Matt(hias De Geyter) and Jim (Jan Roelkens)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
INTRO:
Lead Guitar
E| --------------9~--------------9~------|
B|---------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------|
D|-------7---7-----------7---7-----------|
A|---------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------|
| | | |
Then Bass comes in:
E|-------5---5---------5-5---5---------5-|
| | | |
This little riff is repeated a couple of times
Then the rythm guitar comes in, and
alternates between A and Asus4 chords.
The Bass plays the riff 6 times on the A note,
2 times on F# and 2 times F.
Then the vocals come in:
This elevator only takes one down
she said, this place, this Hotellounge
It's my daily bread, but I'm underfad
He asked
Are you living in the night
'Cause I can tell you have a lousy imagination
And as a matter of speaking
I hate this situation
But it happens to be one of my pickings
Then the lead guitar plays this trough the lyrics:
E|---------12--------------12------|
B|-----10------10------10------10--|
G|-11--------------11--------------|
D|---------------------------------| ...
A|---------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------|
| | | |
The Bass plays G|-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-.....
Cause it's so hard
to keep the dream alive.
A short while later a second guitar comes in,
and plays the following:
D|-11-12-11-12-11-...
Then everybody plays Bm with heavy distortion
Cause if it all comes down to this, I will
Then rythm guitar and bass switch to A
And the lead guitar plays this tiny little solo
E|----------------------------------
B|-------------------------10-------
G|--------9h11--------9h11----------
D|-9h11---------9h11----------------
A|----------------------------------
E|---------------------------------- 2X
Then the Bass plays the following solo twice:
A D? A E
|-------------------------------------
|--------------------------------7----
|--------5-5-5757--------7-7-7\9---9\-
|-5-5-7-5---------5-757-5\------------
You move me, you move me, you move me round and round I guess
Take it back your analoge, it's on the other side of this 2X
Guitar solo:
E|------------------------------||--------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------10-||-------5---7--5--5h7-7-7/10-----------|
G|-4-4-4--4h6-6-6/9--9--9/11----||--4h6----6----------------------------|
D|------------------------------||--------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------||--------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------||--------------------------------------|
Bm Bm F# F
Cause if it all comes down to this
Then again two verses: back to the beginning
You have another sigarette?
I tempt to forget
????
But it keeps hanging me down
You know this place this hotellounge
it's my life, it's my choice
????
????
'Cause it's so hard to keep the dream alive
And if it all comes down to this, I will
You move me, you move me, you move me round and round I guess
Take it back your analoge, it's on the other side of this 5X
And if it all comes down to this
This elevator only takes one down, she said
This place in this same hotel
Did you see that man, in the left hand corner
Did you see that woman, the love story's famous.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official DEUS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
