Subject: TAB: Brothers in Arms
Title: Brothers in Arms
Author: Mark Knopfler
Transcription by: Guillaume Laurent
Key: B maj.
A ">" means that the transition between the two notes should be smooth.
Do it the way you want (pull off, hammer on, string bend) I'm not good enough
to precisely figure out what he does.
Timing indications (e.g. 0'35") are from my CD player.
Intro solo (starts at about 0'35"):

I indicate (approximatively) when to play what by putting lyrics fragments
under the tab. Bars are just here to provide convenient seperations,
not to indicate the beat.

What follows is only a part of the ending. It ends up at about 6'15".
(right before the fade out).
Some parts are really just guesses (actually, the whole thing is, but I really
wouldn't be suprised at all if anyone would come up and tell me these parts are
totally wrong). I underlined them with "?".

Ok, let's end the slaughtering here.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official DIRE STRAITS tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
