Song “Father of Mine”
Album- So Much for the Afterglow
Tabbed by Evergleam- this is my favorite song
This tab is correct and has all parts of the song.
h= hammer on p=pull off s= slide b= bend pb= pre bend, then strike bh= bend and hold for awhile
The verse is extremely simple so I’ll tell you the chords. They all have their base note on the 5th string.
Db5 power chord on 4th fret
F5 power chord on 8th fret
Gb5 power chord on 9th fret
Eb5 power chord on 6th fret
Art does this three times and then the following

Verse two is just like above and then is goes to the bar chord progression and into an interlude with the bar chord progression for a background.

It then goes into the interlude with the bar chord progression and then to a C#5 bar chord (9th fret) with a strumming pattern like the verse while Art is doing his YEAH’s. It then goes to the bar chord progression and that’s it. Very simple.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official EVERCLEAR tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
