"Fire Escape"
By Fastball
Intro and Verse: C#-F#-F#-C#
C# F# C#
Well I don't wanna be President
Superman or Clark Kent
I don't wanna walk 'round in their shoes
'Cause I don't know who's side I'm on
I don't know my right from wrong
I don't know where I'm going to (C#-F#-F#-C#)
I don't know about you
Chorus:
G# F# C#
I'll be the rain falling on your fire escape
F#
And I may not be the man you want me to (C#-F#-F#-C#)
I can be myself, how 'bout you?
I don't wanna make you mad
I don't wanna meet your dad
I don't wanna be your dream come true
'Cause I don't know just what I've found
I don't know my sky from ground
I don't know where I'm going to
I don't know about you
Chorus X 2
Ok, here's the deal. You can play this song with a capo at the first
fret. Therefore, you can take all of the sharps off the chords, and for
example, the in intro would be -C-F-F-G-. If there's any additions or
comments, just drop me an e-mail and I'll make the necessary changes.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official FASTBALL tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
