Song - Just The Way I'm Feeling
Album - Comfort In Sound
tabbed by Matt Rose (razorbladesuitcase1@hotmail.com)
I'm pretty sure this song is in standard tuning,
unless my guitar's out of tune (which is possible)
I tried to tab out the violin parts too but I may have missed some
For most parts I haven't tabbed the strumming pattern or how many times
to play each note but it's not hard to work out when you listen to the song
Intro/verse
"Love in, love out, find the feeling,
Scream in, scream out, time for healing
You feel the moment's gone too soon,
You're watching clouds come over you"
(guitar 1)

---3---3---3---3----
---4---4---4---4----
-----------2---0----
---2---2---0--------
---------------3----
(guitar 2) after Grant says 'feeling' play these notes in the background
------5----5--5------5----5--5--
----3--------------3------------
--2------2-------2------0-------
--------------------------------
--------------------------------
--------------------------------
(violin) The violin starts the first time he says 'scream'

--9--------7---5----

Pre-chorus
"Torn in two,
You close your eyes for some place new,
Torn in two"
(guitar 1)

---------------------------
--------4------------------
--4--5--4--5--4--5---------
--4--5--2--5--4--5---------
--2--3-----3--2--3---------
(guitar 2) This isn't the exact pattern but the notes are right
-------9--------10--------9--------9--------9---10--
--10-------10--------10-------10-------10-----------
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
(Violin) The violin's a bit hard to hear in this part
there are 2 clear notes though,
just before he says 'Torn' and just after he says 'two'

Chorus
"And I feel it's going down, ten feet below the ground,
I'm waiting for your healing hand, one touch can bring me round,
I feel we're going down, ten feet below the ground,
It's just the way I'm feeling"
(guitar 1)

Post Chorus
Guitar 1 just plays the verse riff again,
guitar 2 dosn't join until the vocals start but there's this violin part
(violin) I've tried to show the timing a bit but it will be clearer if you
listen to the song
--5------9---10---3------2------5---
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
Verse 2
"Glowing, burn out, lost the feeling
Bruising, you bruise out, miss the bleeding"
There's nothing different from verse 1 really except the violin
it plays these little melodies while Grant isn't singing
(violin)
Start to play the first note while Grant is saying 'feeling'
--5------9---10---3-----2---
----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------
Start playing the first note here as he says 'bleeding'
The last note should take you into the pre-chorus
--5------9---10---12------14---15---17-----
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
Pre-chorus 2
"Torn in two,
Each Time we bruise"
This is pretty much the same as Pre-chorus 1
The first violin note is the last note of the verse ringing through
Chorus 2
This is the same as the first chorus except reapeat the last part where
he sings "It's just the way I'm feeling"
(Guitar 2) Over the repeated part play this instead
--10------10------10------10------10------10------9------9------
------10------10------10------10------10------10-----10-----10--
----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
Middle bit
"Two different views, as words confuse and break,
I can't get out, there's no way out of here,
I can't get clear"
(Guitar 1)
-------------------------------------------------------------------

--2-2-2-2-2---4-------------
--2-2-2-2-2---4---5---------
--0-0-0-0-0---2---5---------
------------------3---------
(violin)
It's quieter the first time
---5--------9---10---15-------15---14---12-----------10------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
---5--------9---10---15-------15---14---12-----14----10------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
---9---10---12-------14----10----
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
The next little interlude is just the same as the verses
Guitar 1 plays the chords, guitar 2 comes in when Grant sings
Chorus 3
Just the same as the other choruses except guitar 2 plays this
--10------10------10------12------
------10------10------10------10--
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
That's it, feel free to correct any parts you think are wrong
Special thanks to Tom Perou for getting me the new album a month before
it's released :)
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official FEEDER tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
