Awake and Dreaming - Finger Eleven
This song is played on a five string, if you don't have a five string, you'll have to tune down to B, E, A, D.
Decide how many times you want to play each note... The Verse is written right though, is has the correct amount of notes in the tab... Chorus and Interude, you can
decide, doesn't make a huge difference...
Verse
It's played slowly…
G|----------------------------------------
D|-1--1-----------------------------------
A|----------------------2------1----------
E|---------------4------------------------
B|----------------------------------------
Slow Chorus
Played slowly, listen to it to figure out when each notes is played
G|-------------------------------------------------------
D|-------------------------------------------------------
A|--2-----------2--------------4---------------2---------
E|----------------------2-------------4---------------4--
B|-------4---------------------------------4-------------
This is the fill in the second verse
"But I'm yours for good, support me, you said you would"
G|--------------------3-3\------
D|-1-1------------2h4-----------
A|-----------2-2----------------
E|------4-----------------------
B|------------------------------
Interlude
G|------------------------------------------
D|----------(3h4)--------------------------- You don't play what's in the
A|------------------4-4----2-2-------------- brackets every time…
E|---------------------------------4-4-----
B|---4-4-----------------------------------
After you play the Interlude, and the Chorus (heavy) to finish the song, but the Chorus is still played the same.
This is an awesome song, one of Finger Eleven's best. It's pretty easy to play, just listen in the slow part to find out when u play each note. Any comments, or corrections (although I think it's perfect) email me.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official FINGER ELEVEN tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
