Artists: Fratsen
Song: Vlieger
Transcribed by: Jaco de Kruijf (Jaco.deKruijf@phil.ruu.nl)
This is my second transcription of a song by Fratsen. Hope you enjoy
playing it. The intro is played using a comb and a cigarette-paper, but I
haven't tried that yet.
Intro & couplets: 5th&6th line couplet: "Bridge couplet":
G C D Em Am Am7Em C Am D C Em

Listen to the song to understand the timing of al this, OK, here it is:
1.
G C D
Daar hoog in de bomen,
G C D
gejaagd door de wind
G C D
Hangt stil en verlaten,
G C D
een vlieger en kind
Em Am Am7
Ik had nog gezegd :
C Em Am D
laat die vlieger nou los
G C D
Maar het kind wou nie luisteren
G C D
en nu hangt ie in 't bos
2.
'T was een heel dure vlieger,
en ik had 'm maar net, maar net, maar net
'k was er erg aan gehecht,
nam 'm zelfs mee naar bed
Hield 'm dicht tegen m'n lijf,
om er stil van te dromen
En nu was ik hem kwijt
Hing ie hoog in de bomen
3.(bridge)
C Em
Dus ik riep naar het kind daar hoog in het bos
C Em
ach toe alsjeblieft, laat die vlieger eens los
C Em
En zie even later ha'k mijn vlieger benee
C Em Am
En lagen we 's nachts,
D G C D
toch in bed met z'n twee
4.
Het kind hing nog zeker
een maand in de bomen
en is ergens in de herfst, in de herfst, in de herfst
naar beneden gekomen
Met een klap op de grond
en toen wist ie meteen
Wie niet op tijd los laat
valt altijd alleen
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official FRATSEN tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
