Feelin' Alright
///////////////
written by Dave Mason
play the whole song with barre-chords
Intro: (A) D (A-D-C--G) C-G D ---> 2 times (this is the "main riff", play throughout verses)
^----(the notes in brackets are the notes played by bass;
you can do it with guitar too)
Verse (with main riff)
Seems I got to have a change in scene,
'Cause ev'ry night I have the strangest dreams,
Imprisoned by the way things used to be, yeah
Left here on my own, so it seems,
I got to leave before I start to scream,
'Cause somebody locked the door and took the key!
D F-G G G D F-G ---> means play F shortly and slide up to G
Feelin' Alright, I'm not feelin' too good myself (barre-chords)
D F-G G G D F-G
Feelin' Alright, I'm not feelin' too good myself
D
Uuuuuuhhhoooh!
Verse:
Baby you sure took me on one big ride,
Even now I sit and wonder why,
And when I think of you I start to cry,
I know I can't get upset now, must keep dry,
I got to stop believin' in all your lies,
'Cause I've got too much to do before I die!
Chorus:
D F-G G G D F-G
Feelin' Alright, I'm not feelin' too good myself
D F-G G G D F-G
Feelin' Alright, I'm not feelin' too good myself, oh no.
D
Uuuuuuhhhoooh!
->change between D and G for the solo-beginning
then do Chorus-"riff" for the solo
Feelin' Alright, yeah, I'm not feelin' too good myself, oh no!
Feelin' Alright, yeeahh! I'm not feelin' too good myself, ooooh hey!
solo again
Feelin' Alright, I'm not feelin' too good myself, oooh yeah!
Feelin' Alright, (get down? good night?) I'm not feelin' too good myself, oh no!
Uuuuuuhhhoooh!
D
Also an all-time-favourite of mine...

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official GRAND FUNK RAILROAD tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
