Intro: G - A# C / G - - -
G _
I hate to swim
A# C G -
And the water's so damn cold this time of year
A# C G -
And when I drown I have nothing left to fear
A# C G -
So just get me up, just get me out of here
A# A G - - -
But you know its not that easy anyways
G -
I climbed lots of trees
A# C G -
When I was young and lived to tell of it
A# C G -
Cause when I'm climbing high, the ground is so easy to hit
A# C G -
But I could not let that girl get higher than me
A#
Well you see its not that easy
A
Don't you know its not that easy and
G# G - - -
I know its not that easy anyways
C A A# -
Well its hard for you to see
C A A# -
Just what this means, just what this means to me
C A A#
And I know its hard to tell
C A A# -
That through it all I hope/have been doing well
G A# C G - - -
It's time to tell
Still can't drive a car
The other ones on the road still scare me
And when its dark the cars are so hard to see
And I'm colourblind, I can't tell red from green
Well you see its not...
Well you see its not...
Well its hard for you to see...
This can be played with either bar chords or first position
chords, take your pick (except that I don't know how to play G#
in first position).

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official HARDSHIP POST tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
