Subject: TAB: Credit in the Straight World by Hole
Credit in the Straight World - Live Through This
----------------------------
Intro:
the bass plays open E and the guitar plays E (7th fret 5th string), but it
sounds like strings to me..
Song:
One chord progression here, but to make up for it, A SOLO! well, as
close as Hole gets to one..
E A# F# C
----------------- Start out palm muting this.. then play it distorted..
----------------- and sometimes just palm mute the E power chord..
------3-------5-- also, there's an A thrown in the chorus'.. listen to
--2---3---4---5-- the song to get the rhythm and order..
--2---1---4---3--
--0-------2------
THE SOLO!!:
first part is on the 4th string, and something like this:
--2-2-0-1h2-0/3-0--
play that 3 times then play this on the 5th string:
--5-5-5/16-3-4-4/18--24-23-22\19--
and put a huge amount of feedback in the last part..
Lyrics: (inaccurate as always)
And I will await, oh highness I'm so high, I cannot walk
And I will await, you crimple, you take away
My time, my peace, my empathy
No baby sleep on atrothy(?)
Your unborn love and feeds those dress
I'd bet you can be any less crass
I got the credit in the straight world, look a dealer in the eye
Look a credit in the real world, won't you try?
I got some credit in the straight world, I lost a leg, I lost an eye
Go for credit in the real world, you will die..
It's the credit in the straight world, leave your money when you die
Love to credit in the real world, gets you high... yeah..
I got some credit in the straight world, I lost a leg, I lost an eye
Go for credit in the real world, you will die..
-----------------------------
I hope this TAB was vague enough for you.. :)

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official HOLE tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
