'I Hate It Too' by Hum
from the album 'You'd Prefer An Astronaut'
use dropped-D tuning (tune your low E string down to D)
Listen to the song for timing; I haven't tabbed every single chord
stroke (that last chord in verse progression is sometimes played
once, sometimes 4x), and Hum has two guitars to my one, but this
will get you pretty close. verse chord progression

(verse chord progression - no distortion)
morning grey ignites a twisted mess of foreign shapes and sounds
I wish the ceiling was the ground
I'll send you flowers made of silent tiny pieces of the sun
to help me make up for this one while you send me tidal waves of love
when you're alone and I can't remember what you do
define a way to turn the signal back to heaven sounding blue
and bring me faithful back to you
(chorus chord progression - no distortion) and she don't hold me right
shes never gonna get me there and she don't hold me right
shes never gonna get me there not tonight
(verse chord progression with distortion)
if we break off gently its the motion spinning outward into space
my hand always firm and gently at the wheel while you sweetly hold my face
and I need you to give it meaning I need you to share the view
or it becomes a time for me to love myself like every other thing I do
(chorus again, and then back to verse progression)

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official HUM tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
