"Flood"
By: Jars of Clay
Album: Jars of Clay
Capo 3rd fret, or tune up 1 and 1/2 steps.
There are two parts to this song, the 4 chord riff (such as the intro),
and the 3 chord riff. Listen to the song to get the gist of which goes where,
and how to strum. (I like to strum a couple of times really fast, then let
it ring, then change chords).
Riff 1:
A F G B (Barre'd)
Riff 2:
Am G Em (Not Barre'd)
I'm 99.9% sure about riff 2, but not riff 1. It sounds about right.
You could play the barred chords regularly, but for speed, I stick with them.
Chords: (As if played without capo, so translate numbers up by 3)

Jars plays in an open E tuning on most songs. This interpretation is arranged
for standard tuning.

There are more parts to the violin harmony that i haven't figured out. Sounds
good anyway. This is MY attempt at this song. It sounds pretty good to me and
pretty close to the album too. Enjoy!
I hope this doesn't get garbled on your computer. i wrote this with my page
filling the screen. It might get goofed if your screen is a small window.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official JARS OF CLAY tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
