In a little cafe on the other side of the border

She was sitting there giving me looks that made my mouth water
4 * * *
So I started walking her way, she be-longed to Bad Man Jose
5 * 1 4 5
And I knew, yes I knew, I should leave, then I heard her say - ay - ay
CHORUS:
5 1 4 5 4
.. Come a little bit closer, you're my kind of man, so big and so strong
1 4 5 1 4 5 4
Come a little bit closer, I'm all a-lone, and the night is so long__________
1 4 1 *
So we started to dance, in my arms she felt so in-viting

And I just couldn't resist, a-just a-one little kiss so ex-citing
4 * * *
Then I heard the guitar player say: Va-moose , Jose's on his way

And I knew , yes I knew, I should run, but then I heard her say - ay - ay
1 4 1 *
Then the music stopped, when I looked, the cafe was empty
1 4 1 *
And I heard Jose say: Man, you know you're in trouble plenty

So I dropped the drink from my hand, and out through the window I ran

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official JAY AND THE AMERICANS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
