Song: Right Here, Right Now
Artist: Jesus Jones
Album: Doubt

It's good to use wah and mild distortion effects to sound most like the
recording.
Chords used:
D5: X 5 7 7 X X
E5: X 7 9 9 X X
G5: 3 5 5 X X X
E: X 2 2 1 0 0
G: 3 2 0 0 2 2
D4: X X 0 2 3 3
D: X X 0 2 3 2
Dsus2: X X 0 2 3 0
Intro (palm muted)
D5 E5 G5 D4 D Dsus2 D
Verse:
[D] A woman on the [E] radio talks about [G] revolution,
though it's [D4]already [D] passed [Dsus2] her [D] by
[D]Bob Dylan didn't have [E] this to sing about [G] you know it feels
[D4] good [D] to [Dsus2] be [D] alive
Chorus:
[G] I was alive and I waited, waited
[G] I was alive and I [D4] waited [D] for [Dsus2] this [D]
[D] Right here, [E] right now, [G] there is no other place [D4] I'd [D] rather
[Dsus2] be [D]
[D] Right here, [E] right now, [G] watching the [D4] world [D] wake up [Dsus2]
from [D] history
Verse:
I saw the decade in
When it seemed the world could change
In the blink of an eye
And if anything, there's your sign...
Chorus:
I was alive and I waited, waited
I was alive and I waited for this
Right here, right now
There is no other place I want to be
Right here, right now
Watching the world wake up from history
Right here, right now
There is no other place I want to be
Right here, right now
Watching the world wake up from history
Play the chorus til you feel like stopping, then bring it home with the little
D4-D-Dsus2-D riff, ending on the D. It also sounds cool to improvise with a
wah peddle just before each verse, and to use distortion on the chorus to
really bring it out.
As usual, corrections, comments, and/or additions are more than welcome.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official JESUS JONES tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
