The Story Of Jamie Fame Flame
-----------------------------
(also known as 'Everybody Knows My Name')
by Kashmir
from the album Travelogue
Intro & chorus:
E5 D/F# G5 B5 D5 E5
|-----------------------------------------------||
|----------------------------------------------o||
|-------------------------------------12/14\12-o||
|---------------------------7----9--------------||
|-2----5----5----------9----5----7----10/12\10--||
|-0----2----3----------7------------------------||
|~~~~~~~~~
(The little octave slide lick is a fill I've heard
thrown in quite a few times live. But don't
overdo it for God's sake...)
Verse: (listen to record for accurate rhythm!)
E5 A5 G5 E5
|-----------------------------------------------||
|----------------------------------------------o||
|----------------------------------------------o||
|-----------------------------------------------||
|-2--2------7-x-7------5--5-----------2---------||
|-0--0------5-x-5------3--3-----------0---------||
(There's probably some variations on that. Feel free!)
As for the solo and middle section I really don't know. Except live
there's a really cool jazzy clean part in the middle. It has
a '3/8 against 4/4'-feel which may take a little time to
get into for the unintiated...
E9 F9
|-7-7--x-x--x-x--7-7--x-x--x-x--7-7--x-x--x-x--7-8---||
|-7-7--x-x--x-x--7-7--x-x--x-x--7-7--x-x--x-x--7-8--o||
|-7-7--x-x--x-x--7-7--x-x--x-x--7-7--x-x--x-x--7-8--o||
|-6-6--x-x--x-x--6-6--x-x--x-x--6-6--x-x--x-x--6-7---||
|-7-7--x-x--x-x--7-7--x-x--x-x--7-7--x-x--x-x--7-8---||
|----------------------------------------------------||
If you've ever seen the band live you should have fun
dancing around to that one...
There's no guitar playing during the third verse...
And now for something completely and utterly silly: The Lyrics (rap style)
1st Verse:
1st Chorus:
2nd Verse:
2nd Chorus:
3rd Verse:
3rd Chorus:
(This is done from memory so there might be a few errors. Please correct me!)
Er der egentlig andre end danskere der l‘ser dette? Hvorfor s† skrive
p† engelsk?

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official KASHMIR tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
