I don't know much about the Knight Brothers except that a) they weren't
related; b) neither of them was named Knight (one of them, Joe Diggs,
wrote this soul classic); and c) they made Sam and Dave sound like Chad
and Jeremy. Oh, yes... play the choruses of this and 'The Cheater' back
to back. --AWR

Lord, and still I wait
Gmaj7 Bm7
You'll never know how much
Am7 Bm7 Am7 Am7/D
I've tried to keep my faith and good humor
Gmaj7 Am7
She don't write or phone
Gmaj7 Am7

But if all my faith
Am7
Is almost gone
Am7 Bm7 Cmaj7 D7
You'll hear me cryin'
Chorus:
Gmaj7 Am7
Temptation's 'bout to get me
Gmaj7 Am7
Temptation's 'bout to get me
Gmaj7 Am7

(Am7) Em
And all my faith will come tumblin' down
Verse 2:
All my friends, they understand
They feel the same as I do
She's your love, you know
Here very life is you
Days go by, Lord, and I get weaker
Said a heart that was strong gets a little weaker
I know, somehow I know
That if my little heart gets weaker
You'll hear my cryin'
[repeat chorus]
Coda (repeat to fade):
Gmaj7 Am7
Temptation's 'bout to get me

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official KNIGHT BROTHERS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
