Summer
The Lemon Fog
A little late for summer, but what the hey. You can find this fine
angst-ridden tune on `Cicadelic `60s, Volume Two; Never Existed!' on
Collectables CD.
Intro:
Dm F6 G (2x)
Dm F6 G [Dm F6 G]
I spend my Saturday nights alone,
Dm F6 G [Dm F6 G]
Nothin' to do just sit at home,
Dm F6 G [Dm F6 G]
This town's gettin' dead, nowhere to go,
Dm F6 A7 - A7sus4 - A7
They closed the dance and I've seen - the show,
Chorus:
Dm F6 G
Summer, - it's comin' again
Dm F6 G
Summer, - with me and my friends
Dm F6 G
Summer, - the date and the beach,
Dm F6 G
Summer, - within - my reach.
Dm F6 G Dm (Strum each chord at end of chorus)
Verse II:
Summer has gone and I'm all alone,
Think I'll just go on back home,
This town's gettin' deader than before,
No place to go and I'm all - alone,
Chorus
Solo over verse chords*
Summer has gone and I'm all alone,
Think I'll just go on back home,
This town's gettin' deader than before,
No place to go and my bird has flown - yeah,
Chorus and fade.
* Last line (with the A7) is omitted for the solo.
Notes: Chords are flat-picked (arpeggiated) throughout, except as
noted. Suggested voicings (be creative!):
Dm F6 G A7 A7sus4

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official LEMON FOG tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
