Hi there. I'm writing this from memory so I'm not 100% confident about
the key this is played in on the CD (Songs of Leonard Cohen), and - in
fact - I'm not completely sure about some of the chords.

O lady with your legs so fine O stranger at your wheel,
You are locked into your suffering and your pleasures are the seal
The age of lust is giving birth, and both the parents ask
the nurse to tell them fairy tales on both sides of the glass
And now the infant with his cord is hauled in like a kite,
and one eye filled with blueprints, one eye filled with night

and grow us grass and apples there and keep all the animals warm
And if by chance I wake at night and I ask you who I am,

We are so small between the stars, so large against the sky,
and lost among the subway crowds I try to catch your eye
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official LEONARD COHEN tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.

We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
