This is 'Beautiful Day' by the Levellers and it is on the 'Mouth to Mouth'
album. It is pretty easy and I think it is right. However, if yo uhave any
questions then mail me.
Chorus
N.C. A F#m
What a beautiful day I'm the king of all time
D E F#m
Nothing is impossible in my own powerful mind.
1st verse
F#m
Was on the fifth of November

When time, it went back,

Well some would say that that's impossible

But you and I have never looked back.
And wasn't it incredible

Oh so beautiful and above all
D
Oh just to see the fuse get lit this time
E F#m
And light a real bonfire for all time.
Chorus
Interlude
Chords at this point are F#m, C#m, D, E, and F#m.
On the CD, Jon plays the melody on his fiddle over the top of these chords.
2nd verse
(Same chords as first verse)
I was drinking in a night club
It felt good to be back
When Hepburn said "I love you"
And Flynn said "Make mine a double Jack"
Was then we planned a revolution
To make things better for all time
When Guevara said "That's crazy"
And ordered up a bottle of wine.
Chorus
Bridge

In there on the big screen
C#m
Evr'y night I've seen
D E F# C#m D
E F#m D
The way all things could be, oh for me, oh for me, for me, for me.
Interlude
3rd verse
The news broke after midnight
And we pulled the temples down without a sound
But the generals they were hiding out
The ministers well........
They'd all gone to ground
Wealth redistribution
Became the new solution
So I got the paperbag
And ypu got the one with all the holes.
Chorus
At end of chorus comes this:
D E
F#m
Oh yeah and nothing is impossible in my own powerful mind
D E
F#m
That's because nothing is impossible in my own powerful mind.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official LEVELLERS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
