International Pop Overthrow
from Material Issue's 1991 album "International Pop Overthrow"
Transcribbed by Larry Cannek
These are the chord progressions and they pretty much switch
between the two. It should be easy to figure out. i did this in approx.
5 minutes so it could be in another key or something of that nature.
if so i would like to know. Also does anyone know what's been happening
the power pop trio of Chicago lately. When's the Freak City Soundtrack
follow up comming?

I was ridin' around with the radio up and the windows down
took a minute or two to think about my problems
Drivin' in this van, playin' in this band, you know it's bringin' me down.
But i'll pop back up when the pretty blue lights come on.
It's an international pop overthrow,
international pop overthrow
it's an international pop overthrow,
international pop overthrow
and all these other boys there just makin' noise
they don't know rock and roll
they just need someone to have their picture taken with
and i'be been thingkin' bout you tell me what do i do come on
where do i go? i don't need a girlfriend i need and accomplice
It's an international pop overthrow,
international pop overthrow
it's an international pop overthrow,
international pop overthrow
international pop overthrow
international pop overthrow

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official MATERIAL ISSUE tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
