MORBID ANGEL - HE WHO SLEEPS
(2000 - GATEWAYS TO ANNIHILATION)

On the album you actually hear two seperated guitars in the left and right
channel. However, I arranged most of the tracks for one guitar. In some
places the guitar tracks merged better than in others. Sometimes it was
unavoidable to transcribe for 2 guitars. But if you are only one guitarist
you can still achieve a heavy sound.
This song is performed on a 7-string guitar tuned down a half step
(Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb) - the guitar sound has quite some
midrange and lots of distortion going.
This is the first song I transcribe so if you have any corrections or
anything to say feel free to mail me : bpielczyk(at)gmx.de.
Some words about my notation style, which should be pretty straight-forward
and easy to read (I hope so *g*) - for more details listen to the record :
- Each "-" is a 16th
- / = Slide Up
- \ = Slide Down
- * = Palm Mute
- ~ = Vibrato
- WB-1 = Whammy Bar -1 semitone
- \3/ = Triplet
I hope other tabbers will follow with some more new Morbid Angel songs !

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official MORBID ANGEL tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.

We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
