nothing can stop me now - remix of piggy
----------------------------------------
tablature (attempt) by Michael Gartley
w/ Dave Navarro on guitar
Comments about transcription: This is my favorite track on the CD. I
tried to figure this one out because Dave is one of my favorite players.
He uses some pretty cool chords for this song, so they were more difficult
for me to figure out. I tried to map out the chords to the different
sections of the song that have guitar in them.
If anyone plays this any different, let me know, because my ear isn't
all that good. The verse chords are sort of hard to hear, but here goes..
1st verse chords strummed low to high:
black and blue and broken bones you left me here i'm all alone
e---0---------------0--------------------0-------------0--------------
b---0---------------0--------------------0-------------0--------------
g---8---------------9--------------------6-------------9--------------
d---9---------------9--------------------7-------------9--------------
a---9---------------7--------------------7-------------7--------------
e---7------------------------------------5----------------------------
my little piggy needed something new
e---0--------------0-----------------0-----
b---0--------------0-----------------0-----
g---8--------------9-----------------6-----
d---9--------------9-----------------7-----
a---9--------------7-----------------7-----
e---7--------------------------------5-----
chorus chords:
nothing can stop me now, cause i don't care any more
e---------------------------------------------------------------------
b---------------------------------------------------------------------
g-4--------------------------------------4----------------(5)(5)(5)---
d-4-----------7-------7----5-------------4-------7-----8--(5)(5)(5)-4-
a-2-----------5-------7----5-------------2-------5-----8--(5)(5)(5)-4-
e-------------5-------5----3---------------------5-----6--(5)(5)(5)-2-
sometimes Dave leaves the natural harmonics out
2nd verse chords:
sort of the same as the first verse, but Dave changes them a little to
add some disonance. I haven't been able to figure them out yet.
towards the end of the second verse he plays:
(the "what am i supposed to do, i lost my shit because of you" part)
e-2-2--2--2-2-2--2--2-0-0--0--0--0-0--0--0----------------------------
b-3--3--3---3--3--3---2--2--2--2h3--3--3------------------------------
g-2---------0---------0----------0------------------------------------
d-0---------0---------------------------------------------------------
a---------------------------------------------------------------------
e---------------------------------------------------------------------
then back to the chorus riff repeated.
Again, any comments or corrections are appreciated.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official NINE INCH NAILS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
