These are the chords that I play for Black. Most of the chords are just
variations of major chords. You gotta listen for the changes in the song
because otherwise you won't get the changes right. This is the intro part,
also used for the verses. You gotta also follow the strumming that he does.
I'm just going to write the chords that he is strumming on.

Just play that for the verse. For the bridge there are only two chords.
The first chord is C, I like to play first position C. Then the second chord
is Emin, I also play first position Emin with F# on the first string.
C C Emin

:---2---:--2---:---2---:---2---:---- /
:---3---:--3---:---2---:---2---:---- /
:---3---:--3---:-------:-------:---- /
This is the Chorus. And just repeats itself. It is very simple, only three
chords: Emin, D and C. I play these chords in first position also. Although,
during the second chorus as it goes on you might notice that there is a slight
variation. The only thing being done is that instead of going from C back up
to Emin he is going from C up to D, back down to C, then up to Emin.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official PEARL JAM tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
